U15 Sask First Futures

Program Information

This year Futures Camps will be held in Regina April 13-15 2012 and in Aberdeen April 27-29 2012.

Each player attending the Futures Camps will receive at least two skills/practice sessions, two scrimmage sessions, and an SHA jersey. We will also have goalie instructors on the ice sessions to work with the goalies in the skills sessions, etc.

To help cover the cost of the Spring and Fall Festivals, participants are required to pay a $100.00 registration fee. Please click below for the online registration and also be sure to send in a copy of the Medical Form to the office.

PARENT EDUCATION Not only will the education of the player be highlighted, but Parent Education will be focused upon. The program will be designed to provide reliable information to parents of young Saskatchewan players that will answer any questions they may have as their children progress through the hockey development system. Parents will attend the off-ice sessions and be exposed to off-ice training, nutrition, and an introduction to the Sask First program, WHL, SJHL, and Midget AAA.

CAMP FORMATThe program will consist of a two day weekend of on-ice skill sessions that will challenge and expose the player to new levels of skill development. The players will also attend off-ice sessions that focuses on off-ice training, nutrition, an introduction to the Sask First program, WHL, SJHL, and Midget AAA.

Each player will be assigned to a group for the weekend. Each group will then participate in 3 ice sessions, 1 off-ice training session and a minimum of 1 classroom sessions.

The Schedule will be forwarded after the Registration Deadline.

Players will be responsible for all equipment, sticks, tape etc. All players must wear throat protectors and helmets/facemasks.

All players will be responsible for their own meals, travel and accommodations.

This is an introductory program for all male players entering their 2nd year of Bantam hockey. The purpose of the Sask First Futures is to educate Saskatchewan male hockey players the benefits of proper skill development, proper training and nutrition, and to provide an introduction to the Sask First program, the WHL, the SJHL and Midget AAA.
